About Mario Pávez
Mario Pavez graduated in Fine Arts at University of Chile in 2001. Two years later he obtained a postgraduate scholarship ofa Spanish foundation (Fundación Arte y Autores Contemporáneos en Madrid).
In 2005, he studied a Master degree in Theory and Practice of Contemporary Arts at the Complutense University, and he did also his Phdstudies there.
He has participated in several group exhibitions such as “Almoneda” at the Jorge Alcolea gallery or fairs such as Room Art Fair or Asia Contemporary Art Show in Hong Kong.
He currently lives and works in Madrid. Since 2002 he has participated in eight individual exhibitions in England, Spain or Santiago de Chile. He was a finalist in the IV Figurative Painting and Sculpture Contest in Barcelona, Madrid and Seville. In 2010 he won the XI National Painting Prize of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos in Valencia.
